The new model Toyota Hilux 2016 was introduced in 2005, because Toyota Hilux had considerably larger dimensions compared to the previous Hilux, it was officially classified as a pickup truck. The 7th Generation Hilux also was known as the Vigo Champ was introduced into Pakistan in 2013. It brought a brand new design language for the Hilux while keeping the same familiar body style to keep it up to date with modern design standards. The Vigo Champ features the same tall ground clearance allowing it to go off road with ease. The Toyota Hilux is available in several different variants including the Single cab model, Double Cab model with come with RWD as standard and AWD as an option and the Vigo Champ G, Vigo Champ V and Vigo Champ GX which feature AWD as standard. Production of Toyota Hilux 7th Generation ended in 2015. The Toyota Hilux price in Pakistan is approximately 17 lacs to 37 lacs PKR.

The Toyota Hilux exterior has an imposing stance with its very large exterior dimensions. The front fascia of the car features a trapezoid radiator grille with a horizontal bar, a front bumper with large wide openings and standard circular fog lights while the rear end features side swept stacked tail lights on the tailgate. The large wheel arches and the general rugged profile of the Hilux give it a very muscular look and feel. The Double Cab model features next to identical styling compared to the Single Cab version apart from being slightly longer to accommodate the rear doors. The Vigo Champ variant of the Toyota Hilux features slightly different styling. The front end houses a plastic black trim piece on top of the bonnet and a roof rail. The overall Toyota Hilux exterior features a unique and distinctive design language that allows it to stand out from its rivals.

The Toyota Hilux interior features the use of dark plastic trim pieces and black plastic switches. The seats are covered in a thick sand beige coloured fabric while the steering wheel, low range gearbox and transmission gear stick are covered in standard leather. The Hilux includes standard features on the base variant such Remote key access, a stereo speaker system, front fog lights, and a Tachometer. Features on the higher end Vigo Champ V variant includes ABS, dual front airbags, electric door mirrors, high mounted stop lamp, rear window defogger, sun visors, side steps, over fenders, deck liners, body colour bumpers, 5.1 inch multi-information display with DVD and USB input, satellite navigation, wood panelling and power windows. Features on the higher end Vigo Champ G variant includes a chrome front grille, chrome rear bumper, reversing camera and 7-inch multi-information display. Features on the highest end Vigo Champ GX variant includes an LED Optitron instrument cluster, 7-inch touchscreen multi-information display, upgraded speakers and tweeters and larger wheels and tires.  The overall Hilux interior standard for a pickup truck in its price range, but it is designed to last decades of use on the road without decaying or breaking, it offers a decent level of interior space.
