In recent times, the soaring prices of cars, bikes, and fuel have paved the way for electric two-wheelers to gain popularity in Pakistan. Responding to the growing demand for eco-friendly transportation, several local companies have stepped up to introduce electric scooters to the market. One such company is Metro E-Vehicles, a subsidiary of Metro Motorcycles, which has recently launched the E8S Pro electric scooter in collaboration with Chinese manufacturer Yadea.

The Powerful and Efficient E8S Pro

Nicknamed the ‘Mountain Climber’ in China, the E8S Pro boasts impressive performance capabilities. Equipped with a 2000-watt TTFAR brushless DC motor and 72V38Ah graphene batteries, this electric scooter offers exceptional power and range. With a claimed range of 120 kilometers per charge, it outperforms its competitors in Pakistan. The scooter can reach a top speed of 60-70 km/h, making it a reliable choice for urban commuting.

Features and Design

The E8S Pro comes packed with a range of features designed to enhance the rider’s experience. It features a tri-lense headlight for enhanced visibility, aluminum wheels for durability, and front and rear disc brakes for optimal stopping power. The scooter is equipped with tubeless tires, providing improved safety and reduced maintenance. Additionally, it offers a spacious 32-liter storage compartment, perfect for carrying belongings while on the go. The scooter also includes advanced features like an anti-theft alarm, remote control, keyless go, and a smart instrument cluster screen. Riders can choose from multiple drive modes, including economy, power, and turbo, to suit their preferences and optimize energy efficiency.

Competition and Price Considerations

The closest competitor to the Metro E8S Pro is the Evee C1 Pro, which has gained significant attention since its recent launch. While the E8S Pro offers superior performance and features, its higher price tag may be a determining factor for potential buyers. Priced at Rs. 360,000, it is significantly more expensive than the Evee C1 Pro, which is priced at Rs. 215,000 and offers a range of 90 km per charge. Nevertheless, the introduction of the E8S Pro adds value and diversity to the electric two-wheeler market in Pakistan.
